Very Disappointed with internet

by novelist12241959 - 7/29/14 9:31 AM

For the past few weeks, I have been trying to find a very SIMPLE web-site, where I might upload my stories, to make them available, to the reading public. Ofcourse, I wouldn't mind earning some money, per view.

Although almost every site I have visited claims to be "user friendly", with "simple", "easy to use" directions, (cnet is included in this), I have found the exact opposite to be true.

Whenever I want to set up a way to post my work, to search engines, every web-site goes off into some "foreign language", and starts asking me questions, which are NOT in English. It is never "What type of work do you want to publish?". It is never "Is your work classical, or modern?".

Never am I asked a the very simple "what name would you like, on your web-site?", or the direction "Please feel free to "copy-and-paste", or enter your material, here". NEVER do web-sites offer any constructive information.

All that web-sites ask if "What "platform" (?) do you want to use?", and "What is your URL (?)".

Yes, I am pissed off. The internet was supposed to make our lives easier, and better, yet the internet does not make any attempt to speak ENGLISH.

I am making some final attempts, to TRY and find a site, where the only questions will be questions that HUMANS might ask one another, such as "What is your work about?".

I mean, what are "platforms", "bios", and so on?

I have contacted web-sites, asking for English directions, but even technical responses are NOT in English.

I wish I understood WHY web-sites refuse to speak ENGLISH. It has only been America's premier language, for over 200 years. I even wish that Cnet would speak English.

The more I try to work with the internet, the more the internet makes me feel like a two year old, who is just learning how to read.

Yes, I am annoyed, that my work will never reach the reading public, because the internet refuses to send me directions, to let me post my work, in the English language (like I am typing, here). It is infuriating. I will lose a fortune because computer programmers WONT post their directions, in "man on the street" English.

End of "rant", Thank You to anyone, who read this far. Have a Nice Day!!!!
